I know it may come as a surprise to you that in Turkey, in the Izmir area of the Aegean Sea, trophy bluefin tuna are caught. It is this tuna that is sold at auctions in Japan for millions.
This location is the most stable for tuna in July–August (it is during this time that fish weighing 50–250 kg are caught).
The Aegean Sea is the coldest along the Turkish coast, and even with high air temperatures (around 35°C), the water temperature in this location is 20–21°C.
• We catch tuna using live bait or dead bait at pre-baited spots (where during the season we make two trips per day).
• This fishing is suitable both for beginners who are fishing for the first time and for professionals who want to come face to face with a “monster fish”.
