Fishing in Fujairah is very different from fishing in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (Persian Gulf). Fujairah is located on the Gulf of Oman, which has direct access to the Indian Ocean.
     This location is considered one of the best in the world for catching mahi-mahi, which is also commonly known as dorado or dolphinfish (mahi-mahi is the main target species in Fujairah).

Why Fujairah?

    • Favorable climate for fishing (air temperature throughout the year is 22–35°C), which is ideal for fish reproduction in their natural habitat.
    • Mahi-mahi can be caught using popper, воблер, stickbait, trolling, jigging, and live bait. This makes fishing more diverse, as you can choose the method that suits you best. However, in practice, you often need to adapt to the fish’s behavior and select what it is biting on that particular day.
    • In addition to mahi-mahi, you can also catch: yellowfin tuna, longtail tuna, bonito, cobia, amberjack, bigeye trevally, rainbow runner — all as bycatch.
    • Marlin and sailfish are caught less frequently (in my experience: 80% trolling, 15% live bait, 5% popper).
    • All fishing gear is provided: casting, jigging, popping, trolling, and live bait.
    • The boat is equipped with a shower and a toilet.
    • After fishing, your catch can be cooked at a restaurant at the marina (100 m from the boat).
• If you would like to arrive earlier for fishing or stay for a vacation afterward, there are hotels near the marina for different budgets.

🏆 Best time for fishing in Fujairah:
    • From April to January (these months offer the most active fishing).
    • From February to March, the water cools down, and fish move farther offshore, returning in April when the water warms up again.

🏆 Best time for marlin and sailfish:
    • Mid-October – January.
