The second day gave us a clear understanding that there are huge numbers of smaller tuna in the 10–30 kg range on the classic well-known spots that everyone fishes.

During the day we landed 10 fish, plus had just as many strikes and lost fish.

In the evening, we decided to focus on a location with a dramatic depth change from 20 meters down to 300 meters — basically fishing on top of an underwater mountain 🏔️

And what can I say... at sunset it finally paid off. We managed to raise a fish over 40 kg.

The minimum target has been reached. We still have one final day of fishing left, and we’re going all in on landing a true trophy GT.
